The Thames Valley Branch was founded in 1985. It comprises most of the old counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire , Oxfordshire and Middlesex being now identified by the following postcodes

| The Branch supports the Institution at national and local level representing the views of the local membership.
The Branch organises a number of technical and social events throughout the session to promote the activities of the Institution and benefit the local membership. Meetings and events are an opportunity to enhance the learning of members as well as provide educational links for students within the local educational establishments. The meetings are held throughout the branch area and cover a wide range of topics to allow members to keep up to date with the latest innovations in construction techniques, research, technical studies, legislation, Design Codes of Practice and news of flagship projects. The Branch takes an active role in the future of the profession through promotion of careers . Through these web pages we aim to provide closer links to members, promoting local events and stimulating interest of future potential members. We would welcome any comments or ideas from all Branch members to.
