Engineering Architecture Prize

The Institution of Structural Engineers Educational Trust is offering 3 prizes of £500 each for the best essays submitted by individual students following civil and structural engineering courses and architectural studies courses. Applicants must be under 30 years of age as at 14 December 2007.

The topic of the essay should focus on the collaboration of engineers and architects in design. Essays should be no longer than 2,000 words and may include a limited number of illustrations. They should be submitted to the nominated person in your Department by Friday 14 December 2007. The best essay will then be submitted to the Educational Trust for judging by the Trust Directors.

Winning entries will be considered for publication in both the Institution of Structural Engineers' Journal and on the website.

Teambuild

The Educational Trust sponsors the annual Teambuild Competition together with other institutions in construction. Young professionals are challenged to compete in a simulation of the design and construction process of a real site.
