Codes and Standards Advisory Group

The Codes and Standards Advisory Group exists to provide expert knowledge to the institution on matters affecting the production and use of industry codes such as those produced by BSI. It has no formal meeting structure; however members are called upon when necessary to provide advice. Its terms of reference are:

• To advise the staff member on policy for Codes of Practice, Standards and EU Directives relevant to Codes and Standards, including the relation of such documents to European and international practice.
• To maintain contact with Code drafting and regulatory bodies as necessary for the Institution’s interests.
• To advise the appropriate staff member on the appointment of Institution representatives on British Standards Institution committees.
