This site not only offers some excellent information on some leading edge technologies, but also presents the challenge to improve these technologies. The areas concerned extend beyond sustainability into other areas such as developing a secure internet, improving the urban infrastructure and enhancing health informatics.

CL:AIRE looks to promote the regeneration of contaminated sites. Their Technology and Research Group provides appraisals of remediation technologies. Free registration provides industry news and event information. They also offer an online training service.
Centre for Alternative Technology
CAT provides free information over the phone, by letter and email on a wide range of topics. They also offer a consultancy service. The visitor centre in Machynlleth, Wales offers an interactive approach to global issues. It also holds residential courses as well as yearlong MSc courses.
