Robert George Windsor-Clive GBE CB PC (1857-1923), 1st Earl of Plymouth, was the Institution's first president, holding the position from 1908-1910.

In honour of our first president, the premium lecture room at our Belgravia headquarters is devoted to his name.

The Plymouth Room is located on the first floor of the building. Entrance to the room is via our impressive grand staircase* and benefits from classic early-Victorian styling with subtle modern technology, making it the perfect space to host a variety of events.

At 104m² and with impressive high ceilings, the Plymouth Room is our largest space available for hire. The room boasts a built-in AV and projection system with a permanent stage area.

In most instances, the stage is used with its large desk in situ, seating four people in a line with permanent built-in microphones. However, for events that require an empty stage such as product launches and demonstrations, this table can be removed.

Also the Plymouth Room benefits from free Wi-Fi and Air Conditioning.

*a lift is available for wheelchair access
