Professor Tim Ibell
Tim Ibell graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering in 1988. He then completed a PhD in prestressed concrete structures at the University of Cambridge in 1992.
In 1997, Tim joined the University of Bath as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He progressed to Professor of Civil Engineering in 2003, to Head of Department in 2005, and to Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design in 2008.
He has a strong research interest in the structural behaviour and retrofit of concrete bridges and structures.
