The Institution of Structural Engineers has five committees which support the work of the Institution and promoting the work of the industry more generally

Members of the Institution are encouraged to take an interest in committee activities. If you would like to become involved, please contact the relevant committee secretary by clicking on the link of the committee above.
Currently, the committees in operation are as follows;
Membership of the Engineering Practice Committee is a good way to play an active role in industry developments and form lasting partnerships with relevant organisations and government agencies.
Getting involved in the Membership Committee is a good way to play an active role in the education and development of future structural engineers.
Membership of the Resources Committee is a good way to play an active role in the planning and control of Institution resources including budget management, staff and facilities.
Making decisions regarding the following annual awards; Gold Medal, Lewis Kent Award, Service Award, Honorary Fellowship, Keith Eaton International Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, President’s Medal
Membership of the Professional Conduct Committee means that you have an active role in assessing cases of professional misconduct and disciplinary procedures.
Membership of the Committee is by invitation but contributions are welcome from all academics working in this field.
