IStructE Ltd
IStructE Ltd is a trading subsidiary of the Institution of Structural Engineers. IStructE Ltd undertakes activities outside the scope of the Institution in its capacity as a charity and learned society. All of the company’s profits are gift aided to the Institution.
Structural Engineers Registration Ltd
Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER Ltd) is a trading subsidiary of the Institution of Structural Engineers. SER was formed, supported by the Institution of Civil Engineers, to provide registration schemes for the certification of structural building design.
Supported Organisations
Benevolent Fund
The Institution of Structural Engineers’ Benevolent Fund helps our members and their dependants in times of financial difficulty.
Educational Trust
The Institution of Structural Engineers' Educational Trust was established in 1991 to support people entering the structural engineering profession.
Research Fund
The Institution of Structural Engineers' Research Fund was launched in 1993 to support those undertaking research in the field of structural engineering.
Affiliate organisations
The Institution of Structural Engineers is affiliated with a number of organisations that tackle specialist areas of structural engineering or provide a service to our members. The Institution works collaboratively with these organisations – providing support and expertise.
EEFIT
The Earthquake Engineering Field Investigation Team (EEFIT) is a group of earthquake engineers, architects and academics who work to improve the seismic resistance of both traditional and engineered structures in earthquake prone countries.
RedR
The Institution of Structural Engineers is a patron of the international charity RedR. Through training and support RedR improves disaster relief by helping to rebuild the lives of people affected by natural disaster and conflict. RedR supplies engineers and other skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide.
Structural-Safety
Structural-Safety combines the activities of the Standing Committee on Structural Safety (SCOSS) and the Confidential Reporting on Structural Safety (CROSS) scheme. It works with the professionals, industry and government on safety matters concerned with the design, construction and use of building and civil engineering structures.
