Relevance to the 21st Century and reason for presentation:
There are many buildings with roofs of this type in the UK and abroad which are nearing the end of their design life, such that they may require refurbishment or demolition. They were patented in the UK 1957, ceased to be manufactured in 1984.
As there are few people alive with comprehensive knowledge of this form of construction and little, if any, archived information, this presentation will prove invaluable to those appointed to advise about such roofs in the future.
Of interest to or relevant to:
Structural/civil engineers, surveyors, builders, architects, architectural technologists, associated disciplines and their related trainees/graduates.
