The Institution’s annual Structural Awards are the world’s leading awards for structural engineering excellence.

Established in 1968, the Structural Awards recognise and reward the work of the world’s most talented structural designers, their indispensable contribution to the built environment and showcase projects that lead the industry's development.

 

Judging criteria
Submissions are judged on whether, and to what extent, the structural design of the
project displays the following attributes:

- Excellence
- Creativity and innovation
- Sustainability
- Value
- Buildability 

 

Structural Awards 2009 – entries are now closed
As an international competition, the Structural Awards is open to consultancies of all sizes.
With 11 categories to choose from, covering all types of structure, there's one for your project.

The shortlist will be announced on Monday 27 July.
