Welcome to the East Midlands Branch

CENTENARY AGM & TECHNICAL MEETING - A LIFE OF LEISURE.... 11th November 2008

John Roberts, Past President of The Institution of Structural Engineers, 1999 – 2000, will give a vivid description of how a structural engineer moved into a highly specialised field of work designing and constructing large rollercoasters, wheels and other major rides and attractions. John is an Executive Director of Operations at Jacobs Engineering UK Limited, and this presentation is an update of his Gold Medal Address first given at the London IMAX theatre in 2006.

We hope you will be able to join us for this lecture where there will of course be an opportunity afterwards to ask your burning questions.

The AGM will as usual be kept as brief as possible to leave more time for the technical lecture.

Further details can be found in our meetings page via the link in the left hand panel.
