ABOUT US

The Lancashire & Cheshire branch was first established on the 14th December 1922 becoming the first regional Branch to be formed under the changes to the Institutions Bye-laws

The membership of the Branch has continued to grow, from an initial membership of sixteen engineers in 1922, to its current level of over 1600 making it one of the largest regional branches.

The Branch has always maintained and benefited from close links with the Universities and Colleges within the region. with a number of academics being involved with the Committee.

The members that form the Committee are a group of enthusiastic individuals, dedicated to providing and improving the services that are available to you the engineer. The Committee is not a closed shop and welcomes anybody who wishes to become involved with what is the future development of the Institution.

This website is set up to provide information about the Committee, upcoming technical meetings, events and any relevant news. This information can be accessed by clicking on the links to the left.
