Welcome to the Nigeria Division/Group

The first meeting of the was held on October 1st, 1958 to discuss the possibility of forming a section (the first in West Africa). The permission to set up this Nigerian Section was received from the Institution via a letter dated October 30th, 1959, and the first official committee meeting was subsequently held on January 7th, 1960.

The Section became a Branch in 1987 and a Division in 1989.

Most of the pioneer members studied and/or started their practice in the UK. However, the division`s membership now is of a very diverse background.
