Lewis Kent Award

Lewis Kent Award Lewis Kent became President of the Institution in 1959. He was an early recipient of this Award which, from 1973, was re-named in his honour.

The award is given for personal services by a member to the Institution or the profession.

Alan Bramwell, for his dedicated service to the Institution through the Lancashire and Cheshire Branch and his invaluable contribution to the work of the Membership Committee and the Professional Development Panel'.

Mark Lenczner, for his unstinting efforts to further the interests of the Institution in Japan, Vietnam and Korea over many years. Mark was unable to attend, but his mother Mary was able to collect his award on his behalf.

Bill Harvey, for the distinctive way he has provided enthusiastic service to the Institution through the Devon and Cornwall Branch, as a Council member and in particular the infectious pride in structural engineering that shine through his noteworthy contributions to the Journal Editorial Board and the Institution’s work on bridges.
