General questions about entering your project into the Structural Awards.

1. When can you enter?
   
   The Structural Awards are open for submissions every year between January and April.


2. Why enter?
   
   In this challenging marketplace where marketing budgets are being squeezed and pushed to work further and more effectively, there has never been a better time to enter the Structural Awards.
   
   Entering allows you the opportunity to be associated with the continued growth and success of this annual occasion in which we celebrate achievement and innovation in structural engineering.
   
   Your achievement will not only be recognised at the event, but it's also a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation within the industry and the general public as well as acknowledging the hard work of your project team.
   
   This includes shortlisted and winners’ details on the Institution’s website and a feature in The Structural Engineer which is available to all our members.
   
   Being shortlisted or winning can be used in your future marketing material showing off your talent, as well as the international recognition of excellence from the Institution.


3. Who can enter?
   
   Any structural engineer who is a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers can submit a project on behalf of their consultancy.


4. What type of project is suitable?
   
   The Structural Awards welcome entries from around the world and are open to projects large and small: judging is based on merit not scale.
   
   Projects should be completed or due for completion during the 12 months prior to the closing date for submissions.


5. Which category should I enter?
   
   The awards categories are designed to reflect the breadth of projects for which structural engineers are responsible for internationally. You can submit your project for a maximum of two categories.
