The Loan Service
With the exception of our journal collection and current directories almost all of our stock may be borrowed by members in the UK and EU. There is no charge, although we welcome donations towards our outward postage costs, which enables us to send loans by first class post.
Libraries in the UK may borrow items if they have an account with the British Library Interlending scheme.
Please see our conditions of loan for further details
A selection of recent additions to the Library (PDF) is listed on this site, as well as in The Structural Engineer, which also publishes occassional reviews of some recent texts. Please note that we do not sell these publications, see the Publications List for those items (chiefly Institution publications) which our Publications Department can supply.
Requests for loans may be sent by post, fax, e-mail or telephone. We will try to provide a same day service, as long as the request is received by 3.30pm. If you need something on a certain subject, but do not have any titles, we can make some suggestions over the telephone, although for quite general subject areas we are likely to supply a printout from our catalogue. |
