For structural engineers from outside the EU qualifying as an Associate of the Institution of Structural Engineers (AIStructE) means they have demonstrated that they have the necessary skills and experience to be a Chartered Structural Engineer. They have proved this through their professional membership of a recognised engineering institution from outside the EU.
