Qualifying as a Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) is the clearest demonstration of personal achievement and professional competence a structural engineer can make. Chartered Structural Engineers will have an ability to solve complex structural engineering problems and will have the technical management and leadership skills to bring any project through from conception to completion.
MIStructE is recognised by employers as an individual's commitment to professional excellence, and as a qualification it is an international passport to practice. MIStructE automatically qualifies the holder to register as a qualified structural engineer in an ever increasing number of countries where such registration is required.
Many members take an active role in the Institution, sitting on committees, and panels as well as being involved with their branch or division.
