Welcome to the Singapore Regional Group page. This group represents members of the Institution of Structural Engineers in the area and should be contacted if you have any queries relating to the Institution or to structural engineering in general.

The Singapore Regional Group was formed in 1988 and it has been working with the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) since then to promote the structural engineering practices in Singapore by organising seminars and conferences. Most of the Institution of Structural Engineers' members in Singapore are also members of the IES and members have benefited a great deal from the understanding between the two institutions.

Regional Groups - explaining the name change

As you may have noticed, the term ‘Regional Groups’ has been cropping up when referring to Branches, Sections and Divisions. We do realise that some of you may be wondering where this term has come from and why the decision has been made to change the terminology used by the Institution, so we thought it best to explain!
