Welcome to the Midland Counties Regional Group

Welcome to the Midland Counties Regional Group page. This group represents members of the Institution of Structural Engineers in the area, and should be contacted if you have any queries relating to the Institution or to structural engineering in general.
 
The Midland Counties Branch was formed in 1925 and currently has over 1,000 members living in the West Midlands. Meetings are mainly held in Birmingham with occasional meetings in Coventry and other locations in the West Midlands.
 
As well as providing group information and contact details for representatives in this area, these pages also feature relevant news and events specific to the Midland Counties region. Regional Groups - explaining the name change

As you may have noticed, the term ‘Regional Groups’ has been cropping up when referring to Branches, Sections and Divisions. We do realise that some of you may be wondering where this term has come from and why the decision has been made to change the terminology used by the Institution, so we thought it best to explain!
