Welcome to the Peterborough Regional Group

This group represents members of the Institution of Structural Engineers in the area and should be contacted if you have any queries relating to the Institution or to structural engineering in general.

The Peterborough Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers was initially formed in 1976 by our first local chairperson, Tony Baker. Its purpose was to better serve its members in the local area, mainly via regular meetings.

As well as providing group information and contact details for representatives in this area, these pages also feature relevant news and events specific to the Peterborough region. Regional Groups - explaining the name change

As you may have noticed, the term ‘Regional Groups’ has been cropping up when referring to Branches, Sections and Divisions. We do realise that some of you may be wondering where this term has come from and why the decision has been made to change the terminology used by the Institution, so we thought it best to explain!
