Institution examinations 2011: results summary

The Institution’s Chartered and Associate-Membership examinations were held worldwide on Thursday 28 April 2011.
283 out of 775 candidates successfully sat the Chartered Member examination, resulting in an overall pass rate of almost 37 percent. This is a 3.5 percent increase from last year.
The Hong Kong results were remarkable - 91 out of 255 candidates were successful - achieving a pass rate of almost 36 percent. This is almost a 10 percent improvement on last year’s exam and the best result for many years.

About the Examination
The Institution's two membership examinations (Chartered Member and Associate-Member) are held in a number of venues worldwide in April each year. You can find out whether you are eligible to sit either examination by refering to the relevant membership pages.
The registration deadline for eligible members is usually six weeks prior to the examination date. Examination entry forms are sent to candidates between October and February. An instruction letter containing your candidate number and details of your chosen venue will be supplied three weeks prior to the examination date.
