Surviving redundancy – CIC guidance

Published: 08/12/2011

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has produced a publication designed to assist built environment practitioners when facing redundancy.

Downsizing and redundancy is an unfortunate aspect of the current climate; affecting most industries in addition to the construction industry.

The CIC publication 'Surviving redundancy' provides guidance on the UK employment laws in relation to redundancy, seeking financial support and finding the right direction to ensure that your career stays on track.

To download a free copy of 'Surviving redundancy' visit the CIC Skills website in the Career Development and Employer Engagement section.

About the Construction Industry Council (CIC)

The Construction Industry Council is a partner in ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council for Construction, along with CITB-ConstructionSkills and CITB-ConstructionSkills Northern Ireland.

Being part of a successful ConstructionSkills partnership enables CIC to capitalise on the broad scope and national reach, and to seize the opportunities presented to the CIC as a leading Sector Skills Council.

CIC partners and businesses each have individual identities and accountabilities. Yet all belong to a single enterprise, and the success depends on working together effectively towards achieving the CIC Mission for the Industry.
