The Construction Industry Council (CIC) are launching 11 new Business Information Modelling Regional Hubs to promote awareness of the benefits of BIM as well as facilitate the adoption of BIM processes and working methods throughout the construction industry.
The hubs were set up as part of a joint initiative between CIC and the government’s BIM Task Group and are distributed evenly throughout the country, ensuring that construction professionals in all regions are given the opportunity to learn more about BIM.
As a lead up to the launch of the hubs, the CIC are hosting a series of sixteen free half day workshops entitled ‘A BIM Focus’ to take place this autumn, commencing on 25th September 2012 in Newcastle.
The workshops will feature presentations from CIC and BIM Task Group members who will explain the Government’s BIM policy and how the industry can engage with the new BIM Hubs.
