What is the Institution of Structural Engineers?

This is the Institution to which all Chartered Structural Engineers and Incorporated Engineers are proud to belong. It controls the training and the qualification of young engineers and acts as their ‘Learned Society’, enabling members to share skills and knowledge throughout their career. How much will it cost me to be a student member?

Student membership is FREE to all under-graduates following an approved full-time civil and/or structural engineering course. Modest subscription rates apply to students on part-time courses. Joining as a student exempts you from a number of payments required from those who join as graduates or even later in their careers.
