IStructE President
Elected by the Council from among the Vice-Presidents, IStructE's President plays a pivotal role in the Institution's affairs. During the one year presidential term, the President has a full diary of commitments: chairing meetings of the Executive Board and the Council as well as during the Annual Conference; visiting the branches, sections and some of the divisions; and representing IStructE to the public and many external organisations.
IStructE's 88th President is Sarah Buck BSc(Hons) CEng FIStructE MICE. Her period of office starts on 4 October 2007 and runs through to 31 December 2008 and coincides with IStructE's Centenary year. Her fresh perspective for IStructE is outlined in her inaugural address entitled 'Our Centenary and Beyond: Attract, Support, Enthuse'.
