IStructE has a handful of members spread across Europe, this can be expected to increase in the next decade as the introduction of Eurocodes will make it easier for structural engineers in one EU country work in another by harmonising the design standards required across the continent.
The Eurocodes will be published between 2004 and 2007, and by 2010 they will have effectively replaced the current British Standards as the primary basis for designing buildings and civil engineering structures in the UK. This is the same for all other countries in the EU.
