Young Structural Engineer of the Year 2000
The 2000 winner of the Young Structural Engineer of the Year award was Clare Gardiner of Ove Arup & Partners. She won the award for demonstrating outstanding performance in the work she had undertaken and for being a young engineer who had shown exceptional promise for the future. She received £1,500 and a certificate. The award was presented at a special Institution lunch at the Gibson Hall, City of London on Wednesday 21 February 2001.
The runner-up was Dr Minnie Lu of Parkman Limited who received £500 and a certificate of commendation.
