Young Structural Engineer of the Year 2004
The 2004 winner of the Young Structural Engineer of the Year award was Joanna Bonnett of Flint & Neill Partnership (pictured with IStructE President 2004/5 Mike Fordyce).
Joanna won the award for her exemplary work on the Floral Street Bridge (now called 'The Bridge of Aspiration') at the Royal Ballet School.
She was presented with the award at the Structural Awards 2004 on Wednesday 10th November 2004 at the Gibson Hall in the City of London and received £1,500 and a certificate.
The runner-up was Jaffel Versi of Anthony Hunt Associates, for his work on the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield the largest of nine multi-sports hubs in the UK. He received £500 and a certificate of commendation.
