Bob McKittrick retired from Scott Wilson, an international firm of consultants, in April 2007. During his 40 years with the firm he was a Partner, then Director, for 20 years, being COO (Europe) and CEO (Europe) as well as a member of the Main Board.
He worked in Hong Kong for seven years as well as spending short spells in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other countries. His main technical disciplines comprised bridges, light rail systems, project management and expert witness.
Bob was President of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2002/2003. Following his initiative that year to tackle the problem of corruption in the construction industry, he became a founding member of the UK Anti-Corruption Forum, which is now a well respected global force against corrupt practices.
He also has had a long association with the ICE as a Reviewer and Member of the Joint Board of Moderators. He was a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield.
He is currently Chairman of Framework, which is Nottinghamshire's leading provider of housing, support, training, care and resettlement services to homeless and vulnerable people.
John Busby BSc CEng MICE FIStructE - John is a chartered civil and structural engineer with 29 years of experience in the design, design management, project management and construction supervision of major transport infrastructure projects. A significant part of his experience has been gained in the design and construction of heavy civil engineering structures for road and rail schemes. These have included most forms of bridge structure, cut and cover and immersed tube tunnels, various forms of earth retaining structure, special foundations, underground railway stations and maritime structures. He considers one of his key achievements was delivering the design of the immersed tunnel section of the Øresund road and rail link between Denmark and Sweden. He is currently Capita Symonds' design director for the Limerick Tunnel project in Ireland.
John has a high level of professional involvement in civil and structural engineering, is a former chief examiner for the Institution of Structural Engineer's Chartered Membership Examination and is currently an examinations advisor to the institution. He is the author of several published papers and was awarded the Halcrow Prize by the Institution of Civil Engineers for his paper on the design and construction of the Øresund Tunnel.
