Membership of the Design Practice, Risk and Structural Safety Committee is a good way to play an active role in industry developments and form lasting partnerships with relevant organisations and government agencies.

Membership of the committee involves attending meetings and assisting with the work of the committee between meetings. As a member you'll have full access to all committee meeting minutes and other related documents.

Responsibilities

This committee has been created to focus attention on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the design of structures. The committee will also consider how the scope of structural engineering can be broadened to increase the leverage of individual members and improve the long term sustainability of the profession.

The work of the committee will gradually evolve to reflect the Institution’s global ambitions and create global thinking.
