About the group
The membership of Engineering Leadership Group meets four times a year, and consists of a chairman who is a Vice President of the Institution and the chairs of the three head committees in the technical function.

Membership of the Engineering Leadership Group is by invitation only.
Membership of the group involves attending meetings and assisting with the work of the group between meetings. As a member you'll have full access to all Engineering Leadership Group meeting minutes and other related documents.

The Engineering Leadership Group has been formed to give strategic thinking to the technical activities of the Institution. Its primary role is to inform the Chief Executive on the direction and strategic importance of issues relating to design, business practice and the future challenges of the profession.
A key strand of thinking will be to challenge the perceived boundaries of the profession and propose activities which support a profession broadening agenda.
The membership of Engineering Leadership Group consists of a chairman who is a Vice President of the Institution, the current President, the chairs of the three head committees in the technical function and the chair of the Technical Publications Panel:
As such Engineering Leadership Group provides a co-ordinating and scrutinising role for the activity and output of all the technical committees and panels in the Institution.
