The International Federation for Structural Concrete, usually referred to as fib (fédération internationale du béton) is a non-profit organisation created in 1998 by merging the Comité Euro-International du Béton (CEB) and Fédération Internationale du Précontrainte (FIP). These bodies had existed independently since 1952.

Steve Denton Welcome to the fibUK group website. We hope that you will find the information provided useful and, if you are not already a member, we encourage you to join the group to gain access to a wealth of technical information and a community of experts.

The International Federation for Structural Concrete, usually referred to as fib (federation international du beton), has an exceptional heritage in shaping the state-of-the-art in the use of structural concrete. fib’s objectives to advance the technical, economic, aesthetic and environmental performance of concrete construction are achieved through stimulating and synthesising research, developing guidance and recommendation, and disseminating these latest developments through publications and events.

The fibUK group serves as the UK National Member Group to fib. We work to support the objectives of fib and the interests of our members.

Our member benefits include high-quality publications, an electronic archive of technical bulletins, access to fib’s global network and the opportunity to participate in international commission and task groups.
