This is an online course consisting of 5 modules, each containing an end of module quiz.  Learners will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.

Topics covered include a background to flooding in the UK; information on what resources are available to help you understand flood risk and where you can find them; and what measures you can take to minimise the impact of flooding on your building in the future.

Module 1: What is flood resilience?

Module 2: How can I find out my flood risk?

Module 3: What do I do if my asset floods?

Module 4: How can I protect my asset?

Module 5: Case studies

Target Audience

Anyone responsible for the upkeep or management of a building, including but not limited to, householders, landlords and business owners.

Pre-requisites

This is an entry-level course with no pre-requisites or previous experience required.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course you should fully understand what flood resilience is and how it may affect you as an asset manager or stakeholder. This course will allow you to test what you have learned and understand what steps you can take to ensure that the damage caused by a flood is minimised.
