About the conference

This conference focuses on the practicality of getting a design built; looking at examples of how things can go wrong, what we can learn from these failures and how to design out the risks.
The workshop will explore the process of critical thinking and constructing designs. Attendees will work in groups to explore how to resolve issues that they will face in the design office. They will investigate the main risks that should be considered during the design process and how these can be mitigated.

The conference is open to all, though early career engineers and those looking to take the Institution's Chartered Membership Exam will benefit highly from this event.

Benefits of Attending

  • Hear presentations on risk management from leading experts
  • Take away practical tools to help with future designs and exam preparation
