Using gabion basket retaining walls as an example, Richard will discuss the limitations of frequently used and easily available design softwares.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into the practical considerations that must be taken into account when selecting the most suitable method of retention, ensuring safer and more effective design practices.

Richard Kennedy
Richard Kennedy, the Technical Director at Enviromesh and a member of the BSI Committee ISE/106 Wire Rod & Wire. Richard has extensive experience as a Geotechnical Designer and specializes in the design and analysis of retaining structures, reinforced soil slopes and walls, and slope stabilization techniques, including soil nailing and ground anchoring.
