Stadium Design

Aim

This course demonstrates the similarities between stadium engineering and other types of design, whilst stressing the importance of the Class 3 structure review regulations and the critical compliance with Stadia design guides.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, you should be able to:

  • Debate structural solutions for compliance with geometric viewing requirements, with other design team members
  • Develop that structural form in association with the architect
  • Demonstrate critical dynamics for other design team members that may impact on the structural form
  • Appreciate the importance of the design for construction
