MAX FRANK Industry Workshop (Partner Event)

This is a partner event organised by MAX FRANK and supported by The Institution of Structural Engineers.

MAX FRANK is a leading international group which specialises in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of structural products to enhance the quality and durability of reinforced concrete construction.

MAX FRANK will present a half-day workshop, hosted by the Institution, on essential construction topics.

This workshop is designed to assist Structural Engineers, Architects and Technicians, by providing hints and tips, throughout specification and design of punching shear reinforcement and thermal break balcony connectors.

The workshop will commence with an introduction to design calculation and the latest MAX FRANK punching shear reinforcement design software to EC2. We will provide guidance on various software aspects and design situations – from steps in slabs, voids, transfer slabs to square patterns. We will then explore Eurocode advancements in detail, including the latest developments in punching shear reinforcement.

The concluding part of the workshop will focus on the design and structural aspects of thermal break connectors – and the way in which they work within concrete and steel structures. This will also be accompanied by an introduction to the latest MAX FRANK thermal break design software.
