Tapered and curved members
Connections, moment connections & avoiding brittle failures
Fire design
Stability and vertical diaphragm walls
Vibration analysis
Strength and stiffness of cross laminated timber
Glued-in rods
Graduate and entry level engineers wishing to fast track their timber design experience
Experienced engineers with current projects wishing to refresh their timber knowledge
As this is an advanced course, attendance to the Eurocode 5: the essentials of timber design course is a recommended pre-requisite
In alternative, familiarity with timber engineering to Eurocode 5 is expected
