Evangelia has held the position of graduate structural civil engineer, contributing to a diverse array of projects encompassing structural design, bridges, the evaluation of existing structures, as well as railway and maritime infrastructure. She holds a Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics from Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering, at Loughborough University, UK; and she graduated from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, specialising in Structural Engineering, and went on to earn a master's degree in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures from the same institution in 2018.
