- Recognise the elegant simplicity of H&S and how to be compliant with statutory duties
- Prepare practice policies that comply with legal requirements and pre-qualification assessment schemes
- Recognise CDM2015 key duties and responsibilities and how to discharge Designer and Principal Designer duties
Any practising designer, design manager, practice manager or academic teacher of these groups. It is as relevant to architects and civil/building services engineers as it is to structural engineers
None, however a basic knowledge of the industry gained through practical experience would be useful.

Liz Bennett is a Chartered Civil Engineer and chartered H&S professional. She learned her H&S skills with Costain on sites across the UK and has worked as Head of H&S for Atkins. Liz now works with the University of the West of England and many academic, regulatory and industry partners on web-based H&S capability maturity indices for design practices.
