This course introduces participants to the design of concrete structures to Eurocode 2, including the basics (materials, cover, fire), flexure, shear, deflection and column design.

Paul Gregory is a structural engineer for The Concrete Centre. He works within the Centre’s Structural Engineering Department providing technical advice and support to designers. Paul has been a member of The Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers for over forty years, and has experience in building structures with a number of consulting engineers. In addition to his industrial experience, Paul was a structural design lecturer for 17 years at the University of Bradford. Intended for Practising structural engineers who are looking to start designing to Eurocode 2.
A basic understanding of the Eurocode system is assumed, together with a knowledge of the design of concrete.
