Ashley is Senior Engineer (Computational Design) at the IStructE. He coordinates the development and application of computational methods in structural design. His experience in the delivery of architecturally led structural design encourages him to automate repetitive tasks in the pursuit of creative problem solving – developing expertise incomputational design, software design, electronics and additive manufacturing.
Juney is a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the Block Research Group of ETH Zurich in Switzerland. He has a Master of Architecture and Master of Structural Engineering degrees from MIT, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley. His research interests include: graphic statics, computational geometry; algorithmic design and geometry-based structural form-finding methods; and sustainable materials and construction.
