Adapting and thriving in a changing landscape.

The SME Business Practice Conference is designed to support structural engineers working as sole practitioners and those in small- to medium-sized practices. Exploring the challenges of the past year from an SME perspective, it looks at the future of smaller practices and the importance of continuous improvement.

This year's theme is adapting and thriving in a changing landscape, and the conference will take place online. We’ll explore how your business can thrive in the “new normal”, how collaboration creates opportunities for small practices, and how to manage your risks.

Our expert speakers will outline the importance of promoting health in smaller practices and discuss how to increase productivity and find the time to innovate whilst delivering projects on time. View the conference programme here.

Breakout groups will offer an unrivalled opportunity to connect and share knowledge in three dedicated sessions: business development, employment update and CPD/training.

The conference will be chaired by Kate Leighton, Director at Static Dynamic. The keynote address will be given by Matt Byatt, Director at Subteno Ltd and a Vice-President of the Institution.
