How does the design process change when working with timber compared to traditional materials?

Timber has huge potential as combined architecture and structure. It demands a completely different way of working from traditional materials. Architect and engineer must work together from the start of the design process. The same engineer needs to be responsible for both members and connections.

Key learning objectives include:

  • How to create safe durable timber structures

  • Why member and connection design cannot be separated

  • How timber design alters from concrete, steel, and other materials
Booking will close 24 hours prior to the webinar.
