Applications are open to present your work at the Young Researchers Conference on 19 March 2020. The conference gives you the opportunity to present and develop your research and engage with industry professionals.

What’s involved

Give a ten-minute oral presentation on 19 March 2020 to an audience of peers, academics and industry professionals, followed by five minutes of questions.

Eligibility

You can present your research at the Conference if you:

  • are under 35 years old (on 19 March 2020)
  • have five years or less of research experience (by 19 March 2020)

This includes 2nd, 3rd and 4th year PhD Students and first year post-doctoral researchers.

If you are an Industrial researcher, you are welcome to apply - provided your work has potential impact outside your company.

If you have already given an oral presentation at a previous conference you are no longer eligible to present research. If you have previously given a poster presentation you may apply to deliver an oral presentation.

How to take part

If you are a first year PhD student email us to register your interest.

Otherwise fill out our application form, including a synopsis of your project.

Our Research Panel will review all submissions and select presenters based on:

  • Quality of research
  • Novelty of subject
  • Clarity with which the research is communicated

We will contact you in January 2020 to let you know if you’ve been selected to take part.

Travel grants of up to £60 are available for those travelling from outside London.
