Midland Counties Regional Group's 2019 Annual General Meeting, student prize awards and a presentation by Sally Stracey, Schöck.

The evening will start with a short AGM, delivered by the region's Secretary, Richard Davis. This will be followed by the student prize awards which recognise students from four local universities who have shown the most promising academic achievement during their penultimate year of study.  The evening will conclude with a technical presentation.

Sally Stracey will discuss cold or thermal bridging and explain about the type of bridges that occur in buildings and the resulting effects if left in unchecked.

Examples will be given which demonstrate how thermal breaks have been developed to meet current regulations.

Sally will also discuss the structural factors which must be considered when using thermal breaks, and how these have necessitated structural capability to be accounted for in product design.
