The Midland Regional Group are pleased to announce an online technical talk on building for the future using MST-BAR.

In an era where sustainability is paramount, innovative materials are essential for building resilient, eco-friendly infrastructure. This presentation introduces Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars, covering the fundamentals of GFRP technology, key codes and standards, and the unique benefits of MST-BAR in construction.

Emphasising sustainability, the presentation will examine the environmental advantages of using MST-BAR compared to traditional materials.  The presentation will also explore the design differences between GFRP-reinforced and traditional steel-reinforced concrete, highlighting how these distinctions affect structural performance and longevity.

Both real-world and laboratory-based case studies will showcase MST-BAR’s durability and effectiveness across various applications, making a compelling case for GFRP’s role in advancing sustainable construction practices.
