The online presentation will be given by Tim Hall, Sales Manager at Anchor Systems (International) Ltd. who manufactures mechanical ground anchors, as well as helical anchors, anchors posts and screw piles.
The Vulcan range of mechanical earth anchors is widely used in civil engineering and construction, in both temporary and permanent works. ASIL is the only manufacturer to produce a completely 316 stainless steel mechanical anchor and can accommodate loads up to 450kN.
ASIL's anchor post is widely used on London Underground as part of cable support systems and are being rolled out onto Network Rail routes.
Their helical anchors can be employed, amongst other uses, as abseil anchors, with the benefit that once the job is completed, they can be removed and then used on future projects.
