Calculating and reducing embodied carbon on projects has become more prevalent amongst the construction industry in an effort to reach net zero where possible.
This event will look at how we may calculate and reduce embodied carbon on projects. As embodied carbon calculations will now also be featured within the IStructE Chartership examination as of 2024 this event will cover how these calculations may look.

Helen Gribbon, Director, Renaissance Ltd.
Helen is a director of a successful civil and structural engineering consultancy based in the North West of England. Renaissance Ltd. are involved in significant heritage and new build projects and have a considered approach to lean design and embodied carbon.
Representing the IStructE, Helen is an active panel member for the JBM, following two terms on their board and also for Place Matters.
